We’ve put together some helpful information and advice for you regarding various topics during this virus outbreak.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Pet food – Do you have enough food for your pet for the next month?

  • We are offering home delivery if you are unable to get out or don’t have someone who can pick it up for you.

Medications

  • Please ensure you have placed an order for pet medications 1 week before your prescription is due to run out.
  • We will only be issuing a maximum of 1 month of most medications but up to 3 months of routine health care plan products.
  • Home delivery is an option if this is needed.

Client Health

  • It is vital that you inform us if you have been exposed to someone with Covid-19, if you have Covid-19, if you or someone you live with is vulnerable or you have travelled recently.
  • Please ensure you have washed your hands, prior to coming to the practice and use the hand gels provided.
  • If you do have to enter the practice, in an emergency, it is very important to maintain social distancing.

Pet Wellbeing

  • Dog walks can be continued but social distancing must be maintained.
  • If walking is not an option, then ask a neighbour or friend to help.
  • 20 mins mental stimulation is the same as 1hr exercise so please use training, tricks, food games to tire your dog at home, if needed.
  • If you are really struggling with support for your dog, then please contact your branch and the team will be able to give you further advice.
  • If you are suffering from Covid-19 then do restrict others from touching your dog. Although very minimal, there is a small chance your dog could pass on the virus.

Routine Procedures Due

Routine vaccinations & health checks are unable to be given at this time. We will ensure that your dog receives vaccinations as soon as we are able and if this involves restarting a course there will be no additional charges made.

Neutering of cats – We are unable to offer routine cat neuters during this time and would strongly advise that all cats that are unneutered are continued to be kept indoors. This is vital for the cat population. We do not want to end up with a kitten boom as a result of this.
